Advisory

AI is already in your business. Few boards have an independent view of it.

Independent advice on AI, from people who have run regulated businesses.

Our advisers are human and agentic. Experienced people set the direction and take responsibility for the advice. AI agents do the heavy reading, checking and drafting. You get a clear view of where AI helps, where it needs a rule, and what to do first.

Five ways of working

Advisory is where most clients begin.

GenWA works with you in five ways: Advisory, Products, the Incubator, the Accelerator and Build. Advice comes first because it tells you which of the others, if any, you need.

Each way of working has its own page, linked at the foot of this one.

Collective experience

Six areas of experience, in one advisory team.

Between us we have led technology, run operations, worked under financial regulation, answered to risk and compliance, and grown businesses. We advise from that practice, not from theory.

Technology and engineering

Building and running platforms, cloud systems and engineering teams, including in banking and capital markets.

Operations

Running customer-facing operations, contact centres and back offices, and moving them from paper and manual work to digital.

Regulated finance and collections

Leading firms that lend, collect and answer to the regulator, including time in senior accountable roles.

Risk and compliance

Turning rules into controls that people follow, and into records that stand up when someone asks.

Marketing and growth

Taking products to market, using data and customer insight, and preparing a business for investment.

Boards and investors

Advising directors and investors when technology changes how a business earns its money.

Human and agentic advisers

People take responsibility. Agents do the groundwork.

Every piece of advice has a named person behind it. Our AI agents read the usage evidence, compare it with your policies and the rules that apply, and prepare the first draft of findings. A person reviews every finding before it reaches you. That is the same standard we recommend you set for your own AI.

Where an AI agent contributes, the report says so.

How advice works

From first question to a plan you can act on.

Start with the health checkYou answer a few questions and share a usage export, or we visit. We first show you what we can see.
Review the evidenceOur agents prepare the analysis. Our advisers check it, question it and agree the findings with you.
Agree the prioritiesWe set out what to stop, what to keep and what to build, with an owner for each.
Decide the next stepAct on the plan yourselves, or ask us to help. Nothing further is assumed.
Who it is for

Advice for the people who answer for AI.

Chief executives and boards

Want an independent view of AI before they commit money or reputation.

Chief risk, compliance and data protection officers

Need to show how AI is governed, and by whom.

Finance and technology leaders

Need to know what AI costs, where it runs and what it returns.

What you leave with

Three things you can use the next morning.

A clear picture

Which AI is in use, who owns it, what it costs and which rules apply.

A plan with owners

Priorities in order, each with a named person and a measure of success.

Evidence you can show

A record for your board, your auditors and your regulator.

How the checking works

Analysis, review, flag, report.

Agents analyse. People review. Anything doubtful is flagged to a named person before it appears in a report.

Flow from analysis to review, flag and report

  1. 1Analysis

AI use is read against your rules, policies and chosen regulations.

  2. 2Review

Each finding is checked against the evidence behind it.

  3. 3Flag

Anything outside the rules is raised to a named owner.

  4. 4Report

What was found and what was decided is recorded and dated.

Questions

Advisory, answered plainly.

Who are your advisers?

A mix of experienced people and AI agents. People take responsibility for the advice. Agents prepare the analysis, and a person reviews it.

Is Advisory the same as buying the products?

No. Advisory is independent advice. You can act on it alone, with another supplier, or with GenWA.

What happens at the health check?

You answer a short set of questions and share a usage export, which is checked in your browser, or we visit. You then receive first findings.

Do you tell us which AI tools to buy?

We tell you where AI pays, where it should not be used and what to look for. Any recommendation comes with the reasons.

Can you help if we are regulated?

Yes. Our team has worked under financial regulation. We prepare evidence and map controls. We do not issue certification, and this is not legal advice.

How is the work priced?

Each service is priced in writing before work starts. The audit fee can be credited against a later platform plan.

Does AI make the decisions?

No. AI prepares and checks. People decide, especially on credit, hiring and medical matters.

The five ways of working

The other four ways to work with us.

Most businesses start with one and add the others. Each has its own page. It is built for businesses with no in-house AI team.
