The questions boards ask us.
Including the one everyone asks first.
Why do I need GenWA? I can do this myself with AI.
You can, and many of our clients start that way. What we add is the judgement that makes it work across a whole business. AI tools are easy to start and hard to run well: who may use which tool for what, which model suits each job, what data may go where, what it all costs, and what you could show a board or a regulator.
So we work alongside your team. We begin with an AI health check, with first findings in 48 hours and a written plan in ten working days. We advise on policy and priorities, set up the controls in your own cloud, and bring our skills and experience to the practical work: choosing the right first jobs for AI, training your people, and building agents with a named owner for each. Our founders ran regulated businesses, so we know what an auditor, a regulator and a board will ask.
A general AI assistant cannot see every tool across your business, enforce your policy on each request or keep a record an auditor can read. Those are control functions, and they work best outside any one vendor. You keep the decisions. We bring the people and the knowledge, so AI is applied where it pays back, and safely, instead of tool by tool. See how we design AI to work as one organisation.
Can't our IT team build this?
Some of it, over a year, with people you would rather have on other things. Our founders built these controls inside regulated banks; the Guard rules, the Log and evidence packs are the version we now set up for clients in their own cloud account. We agree the timeline with you before we start.
What happens when a better model launches?
Your policies, prompts, agents and records are attached to GenWA, not to a vendor. We test the new model in our sandbox, stage the switch under Change Control, and your people keep the same interface.
Will this slow my people down?
No. People keep the tools they already use, and nothing gets slower. 28% of unapproved use happens because there was no approved alternative (Microsoft UK, 2025, vendor survey); managed accounts and an approved model for each task remove that reason.
Where does our data go?
Nowhere new. GenWA runs in your AWS or Azure account, or is hosted by GenWA on AWS as agreed. Sensitive data is removed before a request leaves your environment.
Are you regulated or certified?
No, and we do not claim to be. Our founders built and ran FCA-regulated businesses. GenWA's controls are mapped to ISO/IEC 42001, UK GDPR, SOC 2 and Cyber Essentials, and we prepare your evidence for certification; certification is issued by accredited bodies.
We are 80 people. Is this for us?
Yes. Prices are set by company size, the audit is fixed-fee, and the SME plan is a managed account, one policy and one number a month.
How quickly do we see something?
Our team sets up Register with you during the health check. First findings within 48 hours. The full audit, with a 90-day plan, within ten working days.
What does it cost?
Platform pricing is a range for your company size, configured to your requirements: from £1,800 a month for a small firm. The audit is £7,500, £12,500 or £19,500 by size and is credited in full against year one. See the pricing page for every range.
What if we only want the audit, or only the strategy work?
Then that is what you buy. There is no obligation to take the platform, and both fees are credited if you do.
What is the Incubator?
One of the five ways to work with us, agreed with you in a controlled environment, with no application. We build and run an agent organisation, a function, a team or a whole operating unit, through the GenWA methodology, within budgets and scope, every action logged, every outcome verified by a named person in your business. You pay per outcome delivered. When it holds, keep it in our cloud, move it to yours, or hand it to your team. For founder-led businesses there is a separate application-only Accelerator for ten businesses a year, paid for by equity, a project fee, a retainer or a licence agreed in writing. Details on the Incubator page and the Accelerator page.
